Introduction to Japanese

Japanese Classes NYCCourse Description:In our Introduction to Japanese course, students learn the basics of conversation, along with being able to shop and daily conversational topics. Our course is designed for the beginner who’s eager to learn basic Japanese phrases and develop a strong familiarity with the Hiragana alphabet. Regular homework will also be given.

Course Goals: To be able to greet and introduce yourself with business cards, go shopping, and be able to read and write Hiragana.

Course Curriculum: Follows Japanese for Busy People and materials created by Hills Learning. Please note that handouts will be provided. It is not necessary to buy your own text.

Cost: The cost for this 8 week course (16 credit hours) is $349 $329 Early Bird. Please note all course materials will be provided for you.

Maximum Attendance: We feel that having a smaller amount of students makes for a better language learning experience. Please signup now as space is limited to 8 students.

Time and Location: June 19th to Aug 14th, every Saturday, 11am – 1pm (July 4th weekend is a holiday). The course will be held 380 Lexington Avenue, at 42nd and Lexington, on the 17th floor.

Prerequisite: It is recommended, not required, that students become familiar with the Hiragana alphabet before starting this course.
